Growing Adenium in Phoenix Arizona

adenium

(taken in March)

This beautiful tropical flowering plant is from the same family as the gorgeous Plumeria. Unlike Plumeria, Adenium flowers have no scent. Adenium grows 4-5 feet in height and are often used as container plants, but if covered during frosts it can be planted outside in Phoenix. Just like Plumeria, once they drop their leaves in the winter you should stop watering these plants.

Note: A highly toxic sap comes from this plant.
