Growing Pink Trumpet Vine in Phoenix Arizona

Close up of blooms (taken in December)

Pink Trumpet Vine

photo taken March (first planted)

Vine after being in ground 1 year. It has covered the block fence.

The large tubular pink flowers on the Pink trumpet vine resemble the bloom of a Petunia. Native to South Africa it has a wonderful tropical look.

This evergreen vine grows quickly and doesn't mind the Arizona sun. This is not a twining vine, rather it grows outward like a bush and needs to be trimmed back because it quickly can overtake a space.

Once mature it can reach heights of 20 feet. I planted this out our side window and the pink trumpet blooms are stunning in the spring and winter months. After a year in the ground, this vine produces dozens and dozens of blooms.

Family:Bignoniaceae
