This shrub is considered a low water plant. It is native to Texas and Mexico and does quite well in Phoenix, Arizona.

We purchased them for their incredible color and they can take the heat. Salvia greggi is a species of sage and is often called Autumn Sage. It can grow 3 feet wide and high and is available in varies shades of red, pink,fuchsia and purple. We have these planted on the east side of our home where they recieve full morning sun.
